Danielle Koonce is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) who is taking new patients at Ignite Psychiatry. She is from Abilene, Texas and during her time as a nurse, saw the tremendous need for mental health care in West Texas. Ready to serve children ages 4 and up, and adults, Danielle approaches mental health holistically, as she believes your mind and body should be treated as a whole.
Danielle graduated from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center with her Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) degree in 2017. She worked as a registered nurse for seven years before graduating with her Master of Science in nursing degree (MSN) in 2024. She is certified through the American Nurse’s Credentialing Center as a PMHNP-BC. She is licensed as an advanced practice registered nurse through the state board of nursing in Texas.
Danielle treats patients from all walks of life. She can treat children at the age of 4, and adults. She specializes in depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, mood disorders and sleep disorders. She is passionate about mental health and wants every patient she encounters to feel their best. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking and cooking. She enjoys coffee and being outdoors. Her favorite TV show is Criminal Minds.
